Android 20, also known as Dr. Gero, is a primary antagonist in the "Androids Saga" of Dragon Ball Z. He first appears in episode 132 of the anime.
Dr. Gero was a brilliant but vengeful scientist formerly employed by the Red Ribbon Army. After Goku dismantled the Red Ribbon Army as a child, Gero harbored a deep grudge against him and dedicated his life to creating androids powerful enough to defeat him.
Eventually, Gero transformed himself into an android, becoming Android 20. This transformation granted him enhanced strength, durability, and the ability to absorb energy. He primarily sought to destroy Goku as revenge for the downfall of his organization.
